Match report Burnham Sports second eleven secured their first win of their T-Rippon Division Eight season against Willow Herbs CC from Blackmore. Sports won the toss and opted to bowl. Club veteran Greg Campion celebrated his birthday in fine style, as he claimed three wickets whilst only conceding 22 runs after his 10 overs. Willow Herbs managed to set a total of 152 for Burnham to chase, Keys (40) and Higgins (32) making the notable scores for the visitors.
In reply, Sports were not troubled as they easily surpassed Willow’s total. Openers Grant Smith (76 not out) and Steve Sims (60 not out) managed to get the job done in just under 21 overs without losing their wickets. Sports, therefore, ran out comfortable winners by 9 wickets.
