Match report Seconds promotion hopes fade.

In a must win match Rayliegh won the toss and put Burnham in, again Burnham were missing a few key players and soon came evident where many players did get starts such as Ashley Wade (22),Neil Wade (24) and N Saunders (15) but never the big knock we needed and only ammassed 136 all out in 37.4 overs giving Rayliegh 7 overs which would hurt us later.

Rayleigh's reply was steady as they had 52 overs and reached 72 without loss then Greg Campion 11-3-25-3 came on and took some quick wickets supported by Tim Lornie 12-0-37-2 and Dave Gamble 4-0-13-1 Reyliegh were reduced to 120-6 giving Burnham a small chance but Rayliegh past Burnham's total in the 47th over, those extra overs costing us dear.
Whatever you can say the Seconds have had a good season in the league and in the promotion chase to all but the last match, in which we be playing at Danbury Park for the last game of the season and good luck to the First's in their promotion game with Chignall.
