Match report Seconds lose to rivals Rettendon

Despite of being short of key players Burnham seconds put up a spirited performance against their Rettendon rivals.
Burnham won the toss and elected to field despite, being short of bowling and with the Rettendon batting being agressive and the short boundary's runs came at a quick pace despite the efforts of Roger Perrin 63-1 and Tom Stephens, the only bowler to have any real success was Greg Campion 12-1-45-2 aided again by Ashley Wade stunning catch in the deep, but what hurt us was no regular 4th bowler and the 9 overs cost about 100 runs which would haunt us later in the match.
Burnhams reply was steady enough built around Neil Saunders innings of (70) but despite Ed King and Tom Stephens making 20 and Graeme Kilduff's personal best of 33no, Burnham was always falling behind the rate and ended up with 207 for 8 in 45 overs.
The seconds must win their last 2 matches to stand any chance of promotion and hope the weather might help in some way.
