Match report Burnham thrashes Marconi and win by 204 runs

3 outstanding performances by Jalal Ahmed, David Bridge and Roger Perrin induvidually on their day would have won man of the match.

Firstly a superb unbeaten 129 by Jalal recovering from a knee injury and playing for the seconds before returning to the firsts, scoring 3 sixes and 17 fours in his 129.
Secondly David Bridge an all round performance scoring 66 which included 4 sixes and bowling of 3-0-12-2
Thirdly Roger Perrin a superb 11-1-42-6 his best bowling in recent times making the ball wobble all over the place and the Marconi batsmen had no answer.
All supported by good catching of A Wade,G Campion,S Turnnidge and S Sims(thats 4 for the year!!)

Marconi won the toss and put Burnham in and soon regretted the decision with the main stand of 177 for the 4th wicket between Jalal Ahmed and David Bridge provinding the backbone of the innings of 294 for 4 which we think is one of the top 3 highest scores for the seconds in league history.

Marconi's reply in which they needed 6.5 runs per over from the off never materalised with accurate bowling of Roger Perrin and supported by Tom Stephens,David Bridge and G Campion and good fielding they were soon polished off within 23 overs for a score of 90 all out.

Burnham next go to Broomfield and hope to repeat the win they had at home earlier this year.
