Burnham Sports CC 1st XI v Rayleigh on Sat 17 Jul 2010 at 1.30pm
Burnham Sports CC Won by 62 runs

Match report Andy Stephens excelled as Burnham Sports beat Rayleigh by 62 runs in a memorable match at Millfield.
The tall seamer took nine for 32 off 11 overs - the best figures ever achieved by a Burnham bowler and one of the top analysis ever achieved in the long history of the league. The only wicket to evade him was the first, which was taken by Ali Allchin, the Essex Under 19 player.
All bar one of Stephens's victims in the T.RiPpon Mid-Essex League first division encounter - the dangerous Cook who he bowled off stump for a duck - were caught as the visiting team, chasing a modest 148 to win, were shot out for 85.
"It was a freaky hour or so when everything went my way," Stephens, 42, said afterwards. "The ball was nibbling around a bit all day and the wicket was not easy to bat on. They played a few loose shots and our guys grabbed everything that went in the air.
"I've been playing cricket more than 30 years and so this day has been a long time coming. I once took eight wickets for nine runs in a Sunday game, but I was a lot younger then and the opposition was a lot weaker."
Jamie Hamilton, the Burnham captain, added: "Andy kept putting the ball in the right area and got his reward. He kept complaining of being tired and wanting to come off but I just kept ignoring him. It was a superb spell.
"We didn't have many runs to play with, but the wicket was two-paced and I had a hunch at tea that we could turn things around. However, I didn't quite envisage what would happen next."
Stephens grabbed a diving caught and bowled chance and was indebted to five other catchers. Dominic Whittaker (wicket-keeper) held two snicks, with Grant Smith (covers) also holding two. Hamilton (silly mid off), Sayeid Ahmed (a wonderful one-handed effort at short cover) and Paul Green (deep mid-wicket) also played their part.
Earlier, Burnham, having been put in, had crumbled from 81 for three to 147 all out. Given the low-scoring nature of the game, which came just a week after nearly 1,000 runs had been made in two games at the ground, Hamilton's innings of 40 was precious.
Bryant and Ewing, both spinners, shared six wickets between them.
