Match report Burnham's 1st XI had less to cheer as they lost their first division match away to Bentley, the league leaders, by six wickets.
Put into bat, Sports were restricted to 209 for eight on a pitch and outfield that demanded much more. It could have been worse, too, because they were 128 for six after 33 of their allotted 45 overs.
Ali Allchin (37) and Joel Whittaker (33) were the only top-order batsmen to make much impression, with Jalal's younger brothers - Sayeid (42) and Fuad (23 not out) - both shining near the close of the innings along with Robin Whittaker (21).
Sports needed a good start with the ball but it didn't arrive - Bentley racing to 88 without loss after just 13 overs.
From then on, the result was never really in doubt, the home side easing home with 37 balls to spare.
