Match report Burnham Sports didn't know whether to laugh or cry after losing to Wickford by 96 runs in this Warsop League fixture by 96 runs.
Ball dominated bat all afternoon with, remarkably, no fewer than ten players being out for ducks.
The pattern was set from the first ball of the game when 15-year-old Tom Stephens had Wickford's resident Australian player caught at mid-on by Bradley Powell. Stephens, getting extravagant swing, went on to take personal best figures of five for 16.
Tim Lornie (two for 11) also bowled impeccably, with Powell, George Rice and Sayeid Ahmed claiming the other wickets as Wickford were all out for 132.
Burnham had little time to celebrate as their top three batsmen all failed to trouble the scorer. They never recovered and were skittled out for just 36, with Andy Metcalfe (five for 15) and McMahon (three for seven) showing them no mercy.
