Tillingham v Burnham Sports CC 1st XI on Sat 06 Aug 2005 at 1.30pm
Burnham Sports CC Lost by 3 wickets

Match report We turn up to find Jimmy and Rob Ashworth are surprise non-runners. At 109-1 in the 26th over, we are firmly on top, then lose our way. Bridgie and Finny keep us in the game as we are all out with a ball to go. When they bat, it's hard to recall them playing one decent shot and there's controversy when poor Chiefy tries to catch one with his mouth. His lip is in half but they show us/him no sympathy. It gets very narky and somehow they scramble a leg bye off the last ball, even though the guy makes no attempt to use his bat. Hardly a match that does much for relations and, later, studying the book, none of the figures add up. The batsmen's runs make 157 and there are 30 extras recorded. That leaves them 3 short. The bowler's figures should add up to 172 but only make 162. 10 short. And they've got us down as bowling 46 overs. Shambles.
