I trust this email finds you well and safe.
The unprecedented events that have affected all of us has certainly challenged our ability to operate as a club, resulting in the sudden curtailment of the playing season with planned events all having to be postponed.
With social distancing rules slowly being relaxed, we have taken a decision to hold the AGM for the Burnham Sports Club (BSC), in anticipation that the situation will continue to improve over the weeks and months ahead.
As you are aware, Burnham Rugby Club sits under the umbrella of Burnham Sports Club (BSC) which incorporates cricket, croquet and rugby and is there to administer, promote and ensure that sporting activities associated with the site at Millfields are best served for all members.
We will be holding the BSC AGM on Monday, 10 August at 7.30pm at the Dengie 100 Sports Centre, Millfields, Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex.
Paid-up members of the club are encouraged to attend.
We are hopeful that the weather will be kind, as we will be holding this event outside on the patio. We look forward to seeing you then.

Should you wish to nominate a person for any position, you need to do so in writing 21 days prior to the AGM (19 July 2020). Should you wish any other business to be considered, please notify this in writing to Debbie Smith by 19 July 2020.
As a point of reference the current committee members are Niall Hornett Chairman, Debbie Smith Hon Sec, Andrew Courts Treasurer, Jim Cousins President.
Jim resigned at a committee meeting in February and we therefore have a vacancy of President of the BSC. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Jim for his tireless commitment to BSC not only as a committee member but also as an avid croquet member and player as well as a supporter of both the rugby and cricket clubs.

- To consider and approve (with or without amendment) the Minutes of the AGM held on 3 May 2019
- Chairman’s report
- Treasurer’s report and examined accounts to 31 December 2019.
- To elect the Officers of the Club for the ensuing year.
- Item for noting: The annual subscription for each member club for 2020 has been set by the management committee at £800.
- Elect the Officers of the Club for 2020: Officers standing for election or re-election:

- The member clubs have nominated the following representatives and alternates as members of the Committee of Management:
Cricket: Sue Silvester (alternate, Neil Saunders)
Croquet: Jim Cousins (alternate, Richard Collins)
Rugby: Debbie Smith (alternate, Dan Hull)
- To appoint an Accounts Examiner to conduct the audit for the coming year.
- To consider any other business of which twenty-one days notice has been given.
After completion of the Agenda, the Chairman will be prepared to hear any relevant matter for the consideration of the Committee of Management but on which no voting in the meeting shall be allowed.
