Have received the following message from the Sports Club about finding a new President for the Club:
The current president of Burnham Sports Club, Jim Cousins, has indicated his intention to step down as the current President. Jim has been instrumental in everything that has been positive across all three clubs and we'd like to thank him for his dedication to furthering sports participation in Burnham and the Dengie. This will now mean that we will be looking for a new President for Burnham Sports Club and we would like to hear from members of the cricket and croquet clubs to ensure a good balance of representatives across the club. Burnham Sports Club (BSC) represents the interests of all three clubs and its principle role is to manage the engagement with Maldon District Council and the lease and the upkeep of the grounds.The role would require someone to attend the BSC meetings, which are 3-4 per year, as well as the AGM. Interested nominations should be sent to dcracknell@deloitte.co.uk by 13th March, with the AGM for voting on 3rdApril.
