  • Nobody knows exactly why Seamers is called Seamers. Lomez (why the hell is he called that?) has a theory that it's because he bowls seam. But, if that's the case, why aren't 35 per cent of all cricketers called Seamers? Does anybody else know any other cricketer called Seamers? There, that's my point. Batman (think Robin) is far more logical. And, biff, can this Boy Wonder bowl. And, pow, he's a decent bat, too. Physically, he's as finely tuned as Stevo despite a penchant for lying down and being arguably the biggest tea eater in the club. Holy Moly, the boy can munch. Who can blame him for his excessive eating though? It can't be easy being superhero/cricketer rolled into one. Many assumed he was a mute when he first joined the club but has plenty to say for himself these days and better versed in girls (and their mechanics) after studying at Sussex University in Brighton. "I'm not learning much but the parties are great," he assured us one day as we toiled at Rayleigh. Likes his rap music. Those guys whose lyrics revolve around whores, bitches, buying drugs, mother fukcers etc with the odd reference to guns, pigs, more bitches etc. The last of our players to get hooked on such melodies was Jahid - and he ended up playing for Essex (see past players). Seamers carried all before him in 2012 when he ran away with the bowling averages and scored his maiden century at Great Waltham. Last season he was awesome, playing a pivotal role in winning us promotion. Will we thank him for this, or will it leave us with 99 problems (but a bitch ain't one). Now look what he's started.
