Burnham Sports CC 1st XI v Ingatestone on Sat 28 Jul 2012 at 1.30pm
Burnham Sports CC Lost by 109 runs

Match report Burnham Sports's outside chance of winning promotion evaporated as Ingatestone thumped them by 109 runs at Millfields.
Sports were left dazed by Frazer Kendon, who smashed 146 - one of the highest individual tallies ever scored against Sports.
The No 3 bat, whose father-in-law is Graham Gooch, the Essex and England batting legend, hooked his first ball - a bouncer - to the boundary and that set the tone for his destructive innings.
He was even more ruthless when the ball was pitched up and ended up hitting seven sixes and 17 fours. He was given a couple of lives after reaching three figures, but there was still about eight overs left when he finally departed.
Ingatestone had looked certain to score more than 300 in the T.Rippon Mid-Essex League first division encounter while he was at the crease, but lost their way once he had departed and were eventually all out for 269.
Burnham juggled six bowlers in an effort to disturb Kendon and the pick, again, was Robin Whitaker, who ended up with figures of three for 38 from his 12 overs.
It was no one-man show from Kendon, though, because after tea Adam Pudney, an energetc medium fast bowler, picked up the baton from him.
He took seven for 43 as Burnham subsided to 160 all out, with almost a dozen overs wasted.
Ali Allchin held Burnham's innings together, making a polished 73 before being ninth man out, with the game all but over as a contest.
The 6ft 5in all-rounder found the boundary ten times, although he was guilty of running out Dominic Whittaker, who he had shared in a promising fifth-wicket stand of 64.
Andy Stephens, the Sports captain, ruled out of bowling for the rest of the year with a persistent shoulder problem, was philosophical in defeat.
"We came up against a guy (Kendon) who could do little wrong," he said. "What he lacked in technique, he made up for in power and daring. It is the first time this season where I've genuinely felt we've been second best."
This Saturday, Sports play Writtle away at their ground in Paradise Road.
Meanwhile, Burnham's 2nd XI were suffering another heavy defeat in division eight, this time away to Marconi.
Sports were dismissed for 92 and that would have been even less but for the evergreen George Rice, who rolled back the years by making 23.
Marconi raced past that inadequate total for the loss of one wicket.
Burnham's reserves have failed to pick up a point from their past two games and, as a consequence, are bottom of the table. They entertain Old Chelmsfordians 3rd XI this weekend.
