Burnham sweeps aside Broomfield
On a damp and drizzlly day Burnham lost the toss and was put in by Broomfield
The pitch was livened up by a 20 min spell of rain before Burnham batted and after losing our 2 openers for only 15 runs we thought Burhnam would have a difficult afternoon.
But stands of 42 between D Bridge (38) and E King (23), 37 between D Bridge and F Ahmed (13) and 34 between N Wade (16) and C Rich (23) ensured Burnham had a challenging score of 146 for Broomfield to chase.
With the cricket ball resembling a rugby ball after 45 overs in the damp, all Burnham had to do is bowl straight, and that is exactly what R Perrin 3-26 and F Ahmed 8-3 did, the visitors were soon 29 for 6 and the match was effectively over, despite a slog from Singh and Owens Broomfied were soon bundled out for 69 with Run outs from N Wade and C Rich to finish off their innings.
Burnham next face Springfied hoping to make it 3 wins on the trot, and with this form I see no reason why not.
