Match report Another poor batting display by the Seconds as they lose by 77 runs

Burnham won the toss and elected to Field

And it started well with T Stephens 11-1-40-1 and R Perrin 12-1-50-0 keeping things tight, along with D May 6-3-5-1 Burnham restricted Eastwood to 75-2 off 25 overs, but after a rain delay and the match reduced to 42 overs each, Burnham let things slip a little with dropped catches and with pleanty of wickets in hand Eastwood managed to score 186 of their 42 overs.

Lets face it the pitch was good the bowling not too aggressive, then there should be no reason why we would be 26-4 off 12 overs but we were and again left to D May (38no)to hold the innings together, but despite this we were always falling behind the rate and any hope of a chase just faded away and Burnham ended up with scoring 109-8 fron their 42 overs.

Burnham face South Woodham next weekend and must improve their batting to stand any chance of staying in Division 8.
