A superb Maiden league 50 for Ashley Wade supported by Rob Layzell (54) share a sparklng 111 opening partership where the ball disappeared to all parts of the ground in 16 overs to set up Burnham innings of 251 in 45 overs ably supported by N Saunders (27), D Bridge (33) and some fine sweeping from N Wade (28) ensure Burnham had a challenging total.

Springfields reply started badly with both openers removed with only 7 on the board with Tom Stephens 2-38 and Roger Perrin 2-55 keeping Springfield in check and never looked to threaten Burnhams score when David Bridge 3-23 and Greg Campion 2-52 mopped up the tail and Springfield were all out for 203 a good all round performance from the bowlers.

Burnham now face Mountnessing at home in a crucial promotion chasing game next week.
