With social distancing rules slowly being relaxed, we have taken a decision to hold the AGM for the Burnham Sports Club (BSC) in May, in anticipation that the situation will continue to improve over the weeks and months ahead.
As you are aware, Burnham Rugby Club sits under the umbrella of Burnham Sports Club (BSC) which incorporates cricket, croquet and rugby and is there to administer, promote and ensure that sporting activities associated with the site at Millfields are best served for all members.
We will be holding the BSC AGM on Friday, 21 May 2021 at 7.30pm at the Dengie 100 Sports Centre, Millfields, Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex.
Paid-up members of the club are encouraged to attend.
We are hopeful that the weather will be kind, as we plan to hold this event outside on the patio. Please bring a chair! We look forward to seeing you then.

Should you wish to nominate a person for any position, you need to do so in writing to Debbie Smith 21 days prior to the AGM by 30 April 2021. Should you wish any other business to be considered, please notify this in writing to Debbie Smith email: dcracknell@deloitte.co.uk by 30 April 2021.

1. Apologies of absence
2. To consider and approve (with or without amendment) the Minutes of the AGM held on 10 August 2020
3. Chairman’s report
4. Treasurer’s report and examined accounts to 31 December 2020.
5. Item for noting: The annual subscription for each member club for 2021 has been set by the management committee at £800. The committee decided that this amount will be taken from the BSC funds and hence no club will pay this year.
6. Elect the Officers of the Club for 2021: Officers standing for election or re-election:
President: Sue Silvester Chairman: Niall Hornett
Treasurer: Andrew Courts Secretary: Debbie Smith
7. The member clubs have nominated the following representatives and alternates as members of the Committee of Management:
Cricket: Sue Silvester (alternate, Neil Saunders)
Croquet: Jim Cousins (alternate, Richard Collins)
Rugby: Debbie Smith (alternate, Neil Murray)
8. To appoint an Independent Accounts Examiner to conduct the examination of the accounts for the coming year.
9. To consider any other business of which twenty-one days notice has been given.
After completion of the Agenda, the Chairman will be prepared to hear any relevant matter for the consideration of the Committee of Management but on which no voting in the meeting shall be allowed.
